Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with VPVA, the Anti-Violence Against Women movement, or prevention of and awareness about interpersonal violence, including:

  • Make a commitment to be nonviolent in your own life.
  • Be an positive active bystander when you notice language, behavior or actions that are perpetuating violence. Challenge those attitudes and behaviors in others that promotes or encourages  the abuse or degradation of others
  • Join SCREAM Theater
  • Volunteer as a confidential advocate on the Crisis Response Advocate Team
  • Volunteer to help out with our annual programs
  • Coordinate a program for your student group or residence hall
  • Join in the annual Take Back the Night march and rally in April. Learn more about the sponsoring organization WOAH (We Organize Against Harassment) here
  • Actively support and participate in campus and community education programs related to interpersonal violence
  • Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter

  • Participate in Campus Prevention efforts
  • Believe survivors when they come forward
