Healing the Wounded Heart

Healing the Wounded Heart is a visual display created by survivors of sexual, domestic, and other forms of interpersonal violence that was created in March 2001 by a Texas based organization called Arte Sana (Art Heals). Designed to give survivors a place to express their feelings and raise awareness about the impact gender-based violence can have, Healing the Wounded Heart is a powerful exhibit.

This display will stand in Busch Campus Center (BCC) near to the Information Desk from February 22-26. Survivors and their loved ones are welcome to create hearts to add to the display.

On February 23rd at 3:30 pm in the Cove Lounge (BCC) we will hold our annual “Above and Beyond” Awards to thank the many people that consistently go above and beyond to assist survivors. There will be food and heart shaped cookies to decorate!
